The Pilot’s House – the apartment
The small apartment with a common entrance is in the centre of the house. It can be rented separately or together with the rest of the house. It is sometimes called the ’modern flat’ as it is arranged in a more contemporary manner.
There is sleeping accommodation for 4 people. The apartment has electricity and heating, so it can be used all year.
Autumn and winter on Albuen are also delightful experiences. Heating is supplied by the small stove and oil filled radiators.
The apartment features a small cozy living room, kitchen with refrigerator, freezer, stove, oven and dining area and a small chamber with a bunk bed. The last 2 sleeping places are the corner sofa that can be converted into a sofa bed. There is kitchenware, tableware, duvets, pillows etc. for 4 people in the apartment.

Nature guide Klaus Bek Nielsen and his family have used the apartment for several years as a base for activities on Albuen.
Klaus says: "My wife and I and our young children used this apartment a lot earlier. In all seasons. Especially autumn and winter were something special. Just to go walking on Albuen, collecting stones, shells, wood and amber, then drinking cocoa and coffee inside in the warmth afterwards, stands as powerful experiences for all of us. And so it was when the eider ducks on a quiet night chatted out on the water, the sunsets and starry nights. It was balm for the soul. Today, we are unfortunately too busy with everything, but if we ask the now older children if they want a trip to the Pilot’s House, they are ready immediately."
